The Worker’s Unity Party is a revolutionary united front party which welcomes all tendencies within the revolutionary left which actively seek to intensify class struggle within the settler colonial state of so-called “Canada”. We wish to work with revolutionary groups all throughout the country to depose Capitalism, Settler Colonialism, and Imperialism.
Our party is best represented by our flag, showing a red surface, a green sky, a five pointed star, and a hammer and sickle. The colour red is to represent the tearing down of the old capitalist order. The green sky is meant to represent how we will move forward, toward a new world where people and planet are prioritized over corporate profits. The hammer and sickle represent unity between the working class and is a reminder of our movement’s history of liberation throughout the world. The five pointed star is to represent our socialist roots and how we wish to centre the country after the revolution; around the masses.
Worker’s Unity Party hopes to build a decentralized movement, where local chapters determine their own paths, not the central committee. We recognize that different communities have separate issues, and as such, each chapter will have autonomy over themselves in decision making at a local level. Our party’s central committee will be responsible for calling meetings on nationwide issues that require input from every single local chapter, and making executive decisions in times of strife. The central committee will also be responsible for maintaining party unity during meetings and debates and to help steer the course for the party on national issues that affect the whole party.
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and all political leanings to engage with our organization in good faith. We welcome all those who wish to help our party in serving the people and developing it further to put pressure on the capitalist system to concede to our demands.
